Every Action Guided by a Commitment to Change

The Savoy has partnered with Recorra a London-based commercial recycling and waste management company to help reduce waste by recycling materials and transition toward a circular economy rather than simply disposing of waste. Orbisk, an AI food-waste monitoring system, tracks and reduces kitchen waste, while used cooking oils are diverted to renewable energy and bio-fuel. The Savoy has also eliminated single-use plastics, replacing them with locally sourced, sustainable package alternatives

The Savoy is powered entirely by renewable electricity purchased from certified renewable providers. This shift reduces the hotel’s operational footprint and aligns every department with a cleaner energy strategy, ensuring the building runs responsibly while maintaining uninterrupted guest comfort.

To Reduce Our Carbon Footprint

The Savoy purchases 100% of its electricity from renewable sources and offsets all natural gas through Certified Emissions Reductions. FoodSteps, a menu carbon-labelling initiative, gives guests clear insight into the environmental impact of each dish, supporting more informed choices.

To Conserve Water

The Savoy monitors its water and energy use closely, analysing consumption to identify savings and avoid waste. Guests can support conservation through the linen and towel-reuse programme. Still and sparkling water is served in reusable glass bottles filled onsite at The Savoy Well, the hotel’s water-bottling facility, which removes the need for thousands of single-use containers each year.

To Champion Sustainable Producers

The Savoy’s chefs work with suppliers who demonstrate strong environmental and ethical standards, sourcing seasonal produce, Fairtrade items and certified organic ingredients where possible. Provenance information is included across menus, giving guests clear insight into farming practices, sustainability credentials and the environmental impact of key ingredients.

The Savoy’s concierge team highlight nearby green spaces, cycling routes and public transport to encourage low-impact exploration.
